Detailed experience with LucidLink

I recently subscribed to LucidLink Filespace for collaborative video editing, specifically integrating it with our existing media asset management system. The ordering process online was straightforward, and I opted for the 14-day trial first, which was helpful to test performance before committing. Setting up the client on my workstation was quick, and connecting to our team's filespace was seamless. I was particularly impressed with the high-performance cloud caching; I could open 4K ProRes files almost instantly, which was a significant improvement over our previous method of downloading proxies. Delivery, in terms of service activation, was immediate. I did have a question about egress-free storage, and their customer support responded to my email within a few hours with a clear explanation. While the core functionality is robust, I noticed that the mobile app, LucidLink Mobile, is still a bit basic compared to the desktop experience. It's fine for viewing, but not ideal for more active management on the go. Overall, it's a powerful tool for professional media teams.

So good for remote work!

LucidLink is amazing! We're using it for our Adobe Premiere Pro cloud workflow and it's changed everything. No more waiting for downloads, just instant access to media files. Our team is so much more efficient now. Will absolutely be recommending this to everyone!

Always reliable for our team

We've been using LucidLink for remote collaboration on video editing projects for over a year now. This latest project with Avid Media Composer cloud support was just as smooth as the last. It's consistently performed well, allowing our editors to work on large files without issues. That reliability is why we keep renewing.

Great value with annual plan

I was looking for a cost-effective solution for cloud storage for video editing and decided to try LucidLink. I signed up for the annual billing to get the discount, and it really made a difference in the overall cost. The performance for streaming large files has been impressive, making it feel very worth the investment. Definitely felt like I got good value for my money.

Solid performance, minor hiccup

Overall, my experience with LucidLink Filespace has been very positive for remote post-production. The real-time file streaming for DaVinci Resolve editing was excellent, and significantly sped up our workflow. The only minor issue I had was with a slightly longer initial setup than I anticipated for linking my S3 bucket, but support was helpful in getting it sorted. It's a good solution, but the onboarding could be a bit more streamlined for new users with existing cloud storage.
